Cheering you on from Florida. I'm older than you. I have made dramatic changes in my life from good Catholic girl to physical education major to hippie to yuppie to late-in-life mom to corporate creep to widow to retiree to white-headed warrior. As my dad always said to me, which keeps me afloat 'You have spunk, kid. Keep it up.'
I love this perspective so much. There can be so many phases in one life. I find it hopeful to know such dramatic change is possible. The idea of being this any particular version of me for the duration of my entire life is the most depressing... It's the constant possibility of change that keeps me going. Thank you for reading and for this fantastic comment. I look forward to hearing much more of your perspective here when the notion strikes you.
Proud of you! It's so amazing the confines we put on ourselves and what we "can" and "cannot" do, We can do anything we want. Truly. My father retired from his law practice about 5 years ago. 3 years ago he started going to LA for about 6 months a year for acting training. Now? He's done four movies, a Scientology video, a rap video, and is on a history program for the Curiosity Streaming platform. He just turned 74.
We can do whatever we set our minds to doing. You've got this.
I love this so much! I just read it aloud to my boyfriend. A lawyer his whole life and is now an actor in his seventies. Fantastic! This is how I feel life SHOULD be. Two, three and four career changes, maybe. Why not? It keeps things interesting and we certainly aren't the same people at 70 that we were at 30, you know? Also, I totally want to check out that rap video.
I've missed your writing so much, so am really happy to see you back sharing your life. And congratulations on finally choosing your path. First day nonsense aside, you're going to nail this course, and will be able to help a lot of people going forwards
50yo here cheering for the boomer in the minivan.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you for being here and for cheering!
I am the same age as you and have been reading your articles since my first was born in 2010. Welcome back! Excited to come on this journey with you.
I remember you! I'm so excited to see you here!

I appreciate your friends-themed sub-titles. Good luck with school! I'd like to go back to school myself.
